If you’re considering CoolSculpting fat reduction you’re probably eager to find out how many treatments you will need to see results. The number of treatments needed will be influenced by the type of results you want, so it’s not going to be the same for every patient.
CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive fat reduction system that uses controlled cooling to freeze and kill fat cells. It reduces areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. CoolSculpting can be used to treat the abdomen, flanks, bra fat, back fat, inner and outer thighs, and under the chin.
There is generally some swelling and bruising after CoolSculpting treatment, but this does not stop patients from going about their daily routine.
How many CoolSculpting treatments will you need?
Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting should be within 10-20 pounds of their ideal weight. Patients near their goal weight generally only need one round of treatment to achieve the desired improvement in body contours, as a single session reduces fat in the treated area by 20-25%. This level of reduction can significantly reduce stubborn bulges, but if you would like even more improvement in the same area another treatment may be required.
CoolSculpting treatments are spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. This is necessary to give the body time to dispose of the fat cells from the previous treatment (click here to learn more).
CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution and is not meant to reduce large pockets of fat, as it targets specific problem areas.
