What to expect during a facelift procedure
A facelift is done under general anesthesia and can take 2-5 hours, depending on the extent of the work that needs to be doneand the surgical method used.
During a facelift you can expect the surgeon to make incisions that start in the region of the hairline, and extend down behind the ears. This incision gives the surgeon access to the face and neck so that he/she can manipulate the deep SMAS muscle layer below the skin.
