Will Anti-Wrinkle Injections Get Rid Of Severe Wrinkles?

Would you like to get rid of facial wrinkles that are making you look old and tired?  Anti-wrinkle injections can make you look fresher and more youthful, without the need for surgery.    But will anti-wrinkle injections get rid of severe wrinkles.

Anti-wrinkle injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are a non-surgical solution for signs of facial aging. Treatments are quick, relatively painless, and the results can last for several months.  Anti-wrinkle injections are particularly effective for wrinkles around the eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as on the forehead.

Will Anti-Wrinkle Injections Get Rid Of Severe Wrinkles?

Yes, anti-wrinkle injections such as botox and dermal fillers can get rid of severe wrinkles.

Botox for wrinkles

Botox is a neurotoxin that is used to treat dynamic facial wrinkles, which appear as a result of repeated facial muscle movement.  Botox is therefore able to treat furrows between the brows, forehead wrinkles, and crow’s feet.

When botox is injected, it blocks the transmissions from the nerves to the muscles, and as a result, the muscles are unable to contract. As the muscles relax, the overlying wrinkles soften.

Dermal fillers for wrinkles

In contrast, dermal fillers are used to treat static facial wrinkles.  Juvederm is a popular dermal filler for moderate-to-severe wrinkles.  Hyaluronic acid (HA) is the main ingredient in Juvederm.  HA is a naturally occurring substance in the body.  Juvederm is injected into specific areas of the face, and smooths away wrinkles by adding volume to the skin.

Juvederm is especially beneficial for deep wrinkles around the nose and mouth such as nasolabial folds, and marionette lines.
